About TYE
TiE Young Entrepreneurs (TYE) Oregon is a TiE Oregon initiative to inspire, challenge and empower students to become the next generation of entrepreneurs, business and community leaders. The program is run in 32 cities around the world. Seasoned entrepreneurs and mentors, teach high school students a project-based curriculum that has a strong emphasis on design thinking and customer validation. The program will run October – May culminating in a State Competition. The winning team will continue on and participate in the Global TYE Competition.
Locally, this year’s program will consist of a Community Program which is open to all high school students, and Satellite Programs that will take place at Lincoln High School, McDaniel High School (formerly Madison High School), Metropolitan Learning Center, and Rosemary Anderson High School’s North Campus.
If you are a teacher, administrator, or parent interested in binging TYE to your school, please email [email protected].

TiE Young Entrepreneurs (TYE) spans globally, offering an invention-based curriculum across 32 cities around the world, impacting a variety of youth of all demographics.
A success story of TYE is one that empowered a student and their ideas throughout the program to successfully craft a pitch, present to a board of judges and compete amongst their peers. Many students walk away with knowledge and skills to create their businesses, the majority get to compete, and some walk away with cash prizes and incentives to invest in their start up.
We stay connected with TYE alumni through many networking opportunities, and interviewed a select few from the program to ask their perspectives, after successfully completing the program, on how TYE has benefitted them and how it can help a student gain confidence in themselves, in their community and in crafting their business idea.
