TiE Oregon Awards $7,500 in Prize Money at Pitch Oregon 2020 Competition
PORTLAND, Ore., December 4, 2020 – TiE Oregon, a nonprofit organization focused on fostering entrepreneurship through mentorship, programming, and angel investments, today announced the winners of its annual Pitch Oregon competition. TiE Oregon awarded $7500 in prize money to FoxFace Systems, The Diplomats Club, Yomassage, and Mindcurrent.
We were extremely impressed with all the finalists this year. The variety of business concepts and product development expertise was outstanding making all of the pitches extremely competitive,” said Kari Naone, TiE Oregon Executive Director.
Concept Stage Runner-up – $1,250
FoxFace Systems was the runner-up in the Concept Stage competition and received $1,250. FoxFace Systems provides an easy system for affordable housing compliance verifications for affordable housing providers and their residents.
Concept State Winner – $2,500
The Diplomats Cub won the Concept Stage competition and received $2,500. The Diplomats Club created Betcha which is a peer-to-peer sports betting platform allowing you to gamble against friends or rivals of your favorite sports teams.
Other Concept Stage finalists included Ilera Market, Foodi, and Body Type Fashion Review
Seed Stage Runner-up – $1,250
Yomassage was the runner-up in the Seed Stage competition and received $1,250. Yomassage is a fusion of restorative stretch, mindfulness meditation, and therapeutic touch that takes self-care to the next level by making the most of the mind-body-soul experience.
Seed Stage Winner – $2,500
Mindcurrent won the Seed Stage competition and received $2,500. The Mindcurrent platform uses AI to predict and manage performance and stress, like a Fitbit for your brain.
Other Seed Stage finalists included Masa Fresh, Lazarus 3D, and Carry.
Judges for the Pitch Oregon 2020 competition were TiE Charter Members Doug de Weese, CEO of Hoyt Holdings LLC, Jill Nelson, General Partner at Elevate Capital, and Jerry Young, Angle Investor. Sponsors included Elevate Capital, Moss Adams, and the Oregon Community Foundation.
