
ABOUT TIE WOMEN OREGON
TiE Women is dedicated to Embrace, Engage and Empower women entrepreneurs across the globe. The program is focused on women entrepreneurs, irrespective of the size of their enterprises, origins, standing or background. The program consists of a series of local and global events and culminates with one women-led business from Oregon competing in a Global Pitch Competition for an award up to $50k equity-free prize money to winners and runners-up.

TIMELINE
Local / Global Events: Ongoing (apply to receive exclusive invitations to attend)
Applications Open: April 24, 2023
Deadline to Apply: July 20, 2023
Finalist Announcement: no later than July 24th
Local Workshops: July 12, 26, and August 16
State Pitch Competition: August 8, 2023
Global Pitch Competition: November 15-17
CRITERIA
2023 Criteria:
— Female founded or co-founded startup
— Female founder or co-founder that owns at least 33% of the equity in the company
— Been in business for less than seven years (date of company registration no earlier than Jan. 1, 2016) at the time of application.
The ultimate objective is to help startups in their fundraising efforts hence preference is given to startups raising funds.

The TiE Oregon Women’s Program is being supported by Kari Naone, TiE Oregon Executive Director and led by TiE Charter Member, Niti Goel. Niti’s experience include identifying key market value gaps, developing innovative technologies, constructing business strategy, and deal-making to enable new businesses. She is an author of 20+ patents, 100+ journal publications, conference presentations and books.

TiE Oregon 2020 – 2022 Women’s State Pitch Competitions
TiE Oregon has participated in the TiE Women’s Program since 2020. The following women-led Oregon companies were selected from a Local Pitch Competition and went on to compete in a Global Pitch Competition. Here they met mentors and investors from around the world, participated in workshops, and competed for $100,000!
